I've been reminiscing a lot lately about my marching band days, probably since I found out my sister will not be joining marching band this summer like we planned. Sigh.
Anyways, if I start going off on band camp stories, feel free to hit me or something.
I really should dig out the old vidoes, but then I'd have to bring up my VCR, we shall see.
This is gonna be one heck of a week. I have a herpetology lab test tomorrow, two tests Friday, Exalted on Friday (yay!) a trip to Madison with the herp society on Saturday and LARP on Sunday. Oof, quite busyness. Thankfully next week I have no tests so I can relax a bit before midterm time.
That's about it for today, back to watching band videos and writing fanfic, oh, and maybe some studying too...

Ok, well, blog looking slightly better, can't figure out why some pieces of the code aren't working, but oh well.
Went home this weekend and had fun. Shopping with my sister was more fun than expected since she didn't make me go into any crazy clothes stores. I got Wolf's Rain Vol. 1 and a Naruto t-shirt, which they are sellng at hot topic now, yay! Look how quickly Naruto has been adopted into the US.
Got to see my aunt Judee and Uncle Mike, also my cousin Brian; he's probably my favorite cousin, even though he's quite a bit older than me. We had pizza and a movie for my sister's birthday.
That's about it for this weekend. This Wednesday is Star Trek game day, where my character gets to try breeding little purple mice and beg for more research money.

My blog looks kinda wierd now, that's what I get for messing with the template code and not having a programming class in three years. It will hopefully be fixed soon.
I just joined the list for the Garou LARP and man, what in the world did I stumble into? The arguments, while entertaining, I feel are having a poor effect on the LARP itself, hopefully they will be resolved soon and I can get my right of passage done so I'm no longer a cub.
Eberron yesterday was fun, though it's one of those maps as a low level spellcaster that you feel like you can't do anything but die. Which is pretty much what I spent most of the session doing. Oh well, I'll just let everyone else kill everything, then share in the XP, yay! Well, at least I did a few magic missiles and a light spell, what can I say, I have mostly divination spells, gearing up for a prestiege class. So anyways, more crawling through tunnels, nasty dead bodies, plant people that shoot you with branches, things that like to eat your face, a typical romp. The best part was my use of the dimension leap spell, yay! Also making fun of the warforged was fun, we have a darn good deal set up where I will take the spell repair warforged and he will be my shield. So he can kill things and I'll heal him and cast spells, fun. Shields are good when you have an armor class of 14 and 12 HP.
Oh, for future reference, character info:
Eberron character:
Paela
Elf Wizard(3)
Female, True Neutral
Specialized in the school of divination.
Familiar: Spitz, tiny viper, likes chicken.
She's an independant, somewhat skeptical wizard, usually seen hiding behind another party member during battles.

Heeheehee...
I'm just bored this evening, procrastinating with studying for my herpetology test tomorrow by reading fanfics, and working on my own. I've started playing NWN again, the first expansion set, continuing with an 8th level druid cause I can't find her at higher levels, though I could swear I had more level at the end of the first game. Anyways, playing a druid is awesome, most of the time. Against many weak foes or one strong one, it's great. A minimum four member party is wonderful, especially when two are dire animals. But, against three to six strong enemies, it sucks. Not enough people to keep all the enemies busy so you can cast call lightning repeatedly, and you die. Oh well, I'm doing good so far, finding time to play is the hardest, especially with tests this week. At least tomorrow's Wednesday, which means game club, yay!

Well, let's see now, it has been a long time, hasn't it. I really should post here every so often. I think I may steal Mike B.'s idea about posting rpg happenings, hope you don't mind Mike. With that I'd like to start with the latest session of Exalted, from my character's point of view. But first, a breif intro to my character.

Miri
Night Caste
Explorer/Ninja (AKA I can't sit still very long)
Master Spy in Cealestis(spelling?)
Originally from Chantra
Likes to use martial arts moves, turns invisible when upset, can change color of hair when in various moods, has a treepard named Kitten(not real name though)(Kitten loves butterflies), likes to take fruit (so it doesn't go to waste :) )

Ok, onto the game:
So, we're escorting this beat up army of dragonblooded, who I really don't trust, back to our capitol city and along the way learn that the blessed Isle is coated with demons. From what I've heard from our sorcerer, they're scary things, not very big(most of them) but scary, and they either fight you or seduce you and suck out your soul. Fun.
Anyways, we get back to the city, talk to the sidereals, I get into trouble for not paying attention, and work a bit with my spies. Found out one of my spies is stuck in a city with troubles and probably can't get out or is dead, but he's not one of my top ten (00 spies) so I'm not terribly worried, it seems we have bigger things here to worry about. The dawn caste build me and Kitten a rooftop garden, yay! (My character loves trees and has about 4 plants growing on her at the moment.) It's then that Kitten notices there aren't as many butterflies as before. Something is definately wrong. I go talk to the dawn caste and he says he's missing a person from training, so we go check it out. The place is abandoned, like creepy abandoned. Oh yeah, we find our zenith caste too, he worries me. So, we go through the place and I take the fruit, it was just sitting out and going to waste, I swear. And the Zenith caste says the place is tainted by demons and torches the place. Now we explain this t o the townspeople how? It eventually gets worked out, wish our diplomat were there, and we send out larger patrols that night.
While wandering the city, I spot creatures on the library of our sorcerer and they dissapear. I believe they got inside, so I stealthily sneak up to the second level and am going to surprise the guards, it's what they get for not noticing those creatures right above them, but no, stupid someone put traps freaking everywhere and I step on one. Not cool, by this time, Kitten is laughing at me and I'm surrounded by guards, good job me, real stealthy. I'm still determined to get in there, but the Dawn caste eventually talks me out of it.
Fuming off down the road later, hair now a dark red color, I see a door to an embassy building swinging loosely on its hinges. Kitten does not like it here, but I am ever curious. I approach the door and peek my head in, but see no one. Not wanting to go in there alone, I run and get the dawn caste and we search the place, eventually finding the ambassador safe, locked in his room with a few guards. But the other guards, servents and the spy I had posted here are all gone without a trace.
I am truely interested in the happenings south of us, but cannot leave while havoc is being caused here, so until next time, that's where the game stands.

I will try to update later in the week after the Eberron game Wednesday.
