Ok, update on Eberron game, yay!

We got a new group of people to adventure with us and started off on this pirate ship that pretty much flew itself. Yes, I said flew, it can go anywhere cause it can fly. Didn't see that one coming. Anyways, we got sent to fight a battle for the captain and ended up in snowy land, I don't like the cold much. We got to fight this big cryo-hydra, it was cool. I did my typical, fire off the cool spells, heal the war-forged, then die thing. Now we have a healer though, so I got healed up pretty quick, yay! Found some treasure, a really neat spell shard that can hold 500 pages of spells, yay! But then it became cursed, boo. Oh well, I can deal. Thank you disguise self spell. Anyways, we persuaded the rest of the party to help Isaac and I get some due revenge on the person who turned our former party against us and that's where we're heading. Until next time...

Sorry about not posting for a while, I worked full time (40+ hours some weeks) this summer and between work, gaming, and trying to find time to enjoy the summer, I didn't have time to update my blog. Now, I shall ammend this, and start with Brady's game which we kinda had first (continuing) session of on Wednesday.

So, back in the world of Eberron, my character got to advance a few levels, yay! Our group was looking for ruins in a forest when a tree fell over, that's about all I remember fromor last session last semester. Well, we find the ruins and this evil-looking lady, when suddenly, the rest of the party turns on Isaac and myself. So, we run like crazy and are eventually captured by some lizard-folk (black I believe). They bring us before their leader, a half-fiend black wyrm (really cool looking) and he decides instead of killing us, he wants us to go to the island of the dragons to see if he can be relieved of his duty guarding the city he is in.
We eventually find a way of transport to the island and find a barbarian village. After seeing my dragonmark, they let Isaac and I wander freely. One night, I stumble into a dragon, yay, and when I tell him about the little peice of prophecy I saw, he agrees to take me on as his pupil. (Thus I found my dragon mentor and qualified my first level of dragon prophet) Fun stuff.

Now I'm really looking forward to next week's game, but Mike won't be there for most of it, oh well. I want to play my ninja who can't stealth. So, until next time...

Thursday, June 15, 2006

Well, a few delays next week. I got assigned to work 4-8PM next Monday through Thursday, in addition to my normal morning shift, so I will definately have 40 hours next week. Problem is I'm gonna be late for the two maps I PC/DM. I'd still like to run on Wednesday if that works for people, we'd just have to start at 8:15ish. Sorry about that.

Monday, June 12, 2006

Well, I went home last weekend so the apartment people could come in and redo my kitchen floor, it looks very nice now. They just need to get their stuff and the previous renter's stuff off my porch, which they were supposed to do two weeks ago. I brought up my dragon prints from gencon, they look really nice in my apartment.
This week I gotta work on the website I'm whipping up for the werewolf LARP and make more encounters for my D&D map next Wed. They take a long time to make, but are much fun.

Wednesday, June 07, 2006

So, last night I got to join Isaac's tabletop werewolf game, it was fun. My character almost got killed, well, all our characters almost got killed by another pc, but we survived/were rescued by a biker-dude. I don't mind having a pc close to death so long as death doesn't occur, or someone is standing nearby with a true ressurect spell. It was much fun.
Tonight I'm hosting my second session of the tournament across the planes. Shawn's character won't be showing up, likely anymore for the duration of the campaign, so I asked Luis if he wants to join, since he was at tabletop last night when I talked about my map a bit. So, after work, time to quick clean the apartment and pull out books, yay!

Monday, June 05, 2006

Mwahahahahahahaha! That's just about all I have to say about the next D&D map. And that it will be at my new place, 1505 College Ave. I now have a futon, armchair, loveseat and soft rug to sit upon, so there will be plenty of space and snacks. Really looking forward to this one.

Thursday, June 01, 2006

Phew, got my stuff into my new apartment and my mom came up to help me clean and organize. I love my apartment, other than it doesn't have AC like I thought, it's really nice. They replaced the sink and toilet in the bathroom, as well as the floor, the kitchen floor will be replaced in a week or two. They also gave me a new fridge and it's awesome, gotta do some major grocery shopping on Friday to fill it up. Now it's all clean and I'm getting most of my furniture today. My futon will be brought up this weekend and my dresser and nightstand will arive hopefully sometime this month.
Hopefully by Wednesday I will have things organized so I can have the D&D map at my new place. I've only got one new encounter done, so I may have to pull out the backup encounter for this next map. It should be interesting.

Tuesday, May 30, 2006

It's been a while since I've updated, I know. Had my first map on Wednesday, I think it went well, no one died, though my creatures were killed a little easier than I had hoped. I will work on it, alos hopefully next time I will have a few more people present.
It was a beautiful weekend, helped with some yard work and got all scratched up, but it was fun. I hate to say it, but I almost miss doing yard work at home.
I move into my new apartment tomorrow, my mom is coming up to help clean and get organized. I'm really excited abut having my own place, I mean, living in my own room in the dorms is kinda like having my own place, but I still had to share the bathroom and kitchen, so now I have my own, yay! I can finally cook good food more often.

Wednesday, May 17, 2006

Tomorrow I should get my summer work schedule and then on Friday I can start to try and set up a date and time to run my D&D map. I moved a lot of my stuff over to Kala's place today. It was a pain on my arms and back, but I'm glad it's done. I'll only have to make a few trips on Friday to get the rest of my stuff over there. I'm staying there until May 31st when I can move into my new apartment, yay!
Back to the D&D map, I have about 3 encounters already prepared and one actually involves some roleplaying, and dragons of course. Lots of dragons.
One more final, then I'll have more time to come up with new encounters.

Thursday, May 11, 2006

Well, the summer map's comming along a bit, though I have more stuff ready for near the end than the beginning, but that's ok. I almost have one team all statted out, from the plane of Gehenna. They're kinda scary. I'm much prouder of the batch of monsters I just finished though, hee hee. Won't use them right away cause the CR's probably about 30 for two and 40 for the third, plus they use my favorite draconic prestige class, yay! Anyways, here's what the line up's looking like for the mortal plane team:
Mike: Druid/shifter
Isaac: Crazy paladin thingy
Alex: Monkish
John: Something with arcane magic
Shawn: probably a cleric
Brady: Psionic character (when he's in town)
Isaac's friend whose name I can't remember: Super Rogue
It's gonna be one of those dissapear, then drop out of the sky later thing with Brady's character, but you're gonna need all the help you can get. :)

Thursday, May 04, 2006

Yikes, the end of the semester stress has kicked in about a week earlier than usual, I don't think being out of paper in South Quad for almost two days was any help. It wasn't my fault it took res living over a week to deliver the box of paper I needed. Anyways, taking a study break, I thought I'd throw out a bit of propaganda for my upcoming D&D game this summer.

Whilst wandering a lone dirt path through a field in Autumn, you and your party members decide to take a rest and sit down a ways from the path. Whilst you rest among the tall, yellowing grass, a large piece of parchment drops onto the ground near the center of your group and you quickly look up to see a black form high above you, about twice the size of a raven. Just as you try to make out exactly what it is, it dissapears.
The parchment is tied with a grey piece of ribon and you open it with ease; it reads:
Dear adventurers,
You have been chosen to represent your respective plane in our first Great Interplanar Tournament. You shall compete against teams from all across the planes for a prize worthy of only the greatest adventurers. Provisions shall be provided during the tournament, bring only what you can carry with exception of animal companions, mounts and familiars. Transportation to the starting point shall be provided at this time, three days from now. We look forward to seeing you.

Sincerely,
Endless Shadow and Rayson Waysaw

P.S. Please keep this ribbon with you until the start of the tournament.

Below is writing in 3 other languages.

If that doesn't excite you, I don't know what would, yay! Until next time.

Monday, May 01, 2006

Oh, I forgot:
Mike and Isaac talked me into running a D&D game this summer, so be prepared for some cross-planar madness :)
Ok, time for the crazy Exalted update.
So, I'm hiding from a big guy I know is just behind a door and suddenly our dawn caste appears out of nowhere in the mass of demons outside. Between him and the zenith, they take down the demos pretty quick. I motion them up where I am and tell them about the big demon. The dawn smashes through the door and a quick dialogue follows. Suddenly, the zenith starts himself on fire and steps in. In two amazingly quick and awesome moves, the dawn slices the demon to pieces. Wow, that was easy. So, we explore the building and I find this little trinket, I tuck it into my pouch. I also find a journal. Not being able to read, I take it to the zenith, who shoots it out of my hand, thanks. We rest and heal for a bit when the zenith stares at me and grunts. Slightly creeped out, I back away and he asks what's in my pouch. It's none of his buisness, but he tries to set it on fire. Eventually, I give him the pouch and he takes my trinket. It seems it is tainted orichalcum and it belonged to one of our previous zeniths. She decided to join forces with this demon. So, we decide to wait for her iminent return. During this time, the zenith sleeps while the dawn and I fight another big demon, I died, but it turned out to be just a dream. Afterwards, we decide to fight some real demons and beat down a few to end the day off right. It doesn't get much better than that, oh and did I mention we completly destroyed the castle in the center of the city? Oops.

Alright, here's what went down in Eberron on Wednesday:
We told our large group what we had found and split up, our group traveling to the NE while others went other ways. We quickly learned to watch where we were going when we found an acid quicksand pit, not fun. I threw a rock in it, but anyways, we almost have a massive tree fall on us and in doing so, find another warforged. I repair him a bit and he does a jig, yay! He's a bit of a wizard too, I find out and decides to join our party. We find some strange looking tracks and follow them for quite a while before comming upon some smoke. One of the shifters decides to check it out and before we know it, he runs back towards us with three creepy looking guys following. Another three eventually jump out after tham and we're chin deep in battle. After firing off all of my offensive spells, they all hit and did damage, yay!, I go to poke one with my dagger, but instead drop it on my foot, sigh. What do you expect, I'm a mage. Anyways, we beat down the baddies and I get knocked down to an inch from my life in one hit, that was not fun. The other shifter gets knocked out as wekk and out warforged aren't looking too hot. Hopefully we will be able to rest and heal before anything else tries to hurt us.
There was a bit more including bushes and shiny rocks, but I'm too lazy today to type in all the details, they didn't involve my character too much anyways.

That's it for now, I shall update after Exalted this Friday, yay!

Sunday, April 23, 2006

Soooo sleepy...
Anyways, it has been a good weekend. I know I usually only update about RPG's but I felt like updating, so feel special. Friday was fun, went to see Silent Hill. It was ok, not one I'll probably see again though. And I did lose a bit of sleep over it, but not as much as after I watched Ju on.(The Japanese version of the Gurdge). Had a herp show today for open house, it went well, and I got the lizard tank all set up, now hopefully they will ship them to me soon! Kinda ill this weekend, hence the tiredness, but getting better. Well, my urge to update has subsided, until Thursday.

Friday, April 21, 2006

Ah, I seem to have forgotten to update about the Star Trek game, oops, here it is:
Let's see...my mouse count goes well over 300 now, and somehow, 4 of them escaped. Darn force field cages. Anyways, some of my mice bred with the mice I gave the ferengi and had babies, which the ship's sensors didn't like. We found the carcasses of the moms and the running total was I believe 35-60 baby mice running around the ship. Well the only way I knew to kill them was the toxic gas the newborns feed off of, but the adults seem wary of. So we gassed the ship, assumed all mice died, and had a drinking party, yay! Oh, and I added another force field around all my mice cages. Total is ten currently breeding pairs and about 342 other mice. I really need to come up with experiments to run on them...

Due to a special request, I shall now give my rant on how AWESOME Gaara (not Sandy!) is:
Let's start from the begining. Gaara was was son of the Kazakage, leader of the sand village, and a young woman. He was posessed by the demon within him at birth and killed his mother. Her spirit and the demon is what keeps the sand shield always around him. Everyone in his village knew about his secret and disliked him, much like Naruto. He didn't have much control of his powers when he was young and scared many of the kids away because he would accidentally hurt them when they wouldn't play with him. He was so cute and sad, until his mother's sister, who took care of him, told him she really cared about him. He knew sympathy for the first time. Later that night, she tried to kill him. He killed her in protection, but not before feeling deeply betrayed by not only her, but his father who had sent her to kill him. He is used merely as a tool for the sand village, though he doesn't normally obey orders well, nor gets along with his teamates, who dislike him as well.
Aside from his backstory, he is a very powerful ninja. He could probably hold his own against the legendary ninjas and Naruto. His demon, the sand badger, though kinda funny, is very powerful and almost as large as the demon fox in Naruto. The black around Gaara's eyes is not eyeliner, it's there because he barely sleeps. When he does sleep, the demon posesses him completly and becomes even more terrifying than it originally is. He's got two sand shields, the constantly moving one and the sand armor. He also has a series of impenitrable sand defenses you see later in the series. Not to mention he can rip sand right out of the ground in about a half mile radius around him and use it to smash you to microscopic pieces, trap you, crush you, or bury you many meters below the surface. If that isn't cool, I don't know what is.
So there's my rant on Gaara. If I remember anything else, I'll be sure to update it.
All fear my throwing sandals +10 :)

Sunday, April 16, 2006

4 hour work shifts suck, especially when you 1) aren't expecting them, 2) it's Easter Sunday, 3) you're running on minimal sleep and 4) you have really nothing to fill the time with. *Sigh* Anyways, oh, I guess I should update RPG stuff.

Eberron:
Let's see, I am now one level away from being able to take my prestige class, yay! We were chilling in town, then told the university people about desiring to seek out the rest of the artifacts and those two mysterious figures we saw previously who we believe have them. We meet this professor, she's just crazy. Where ever she is, my character is not there. She and the university will fund our expedition and provide some backup. We go by airship to this place where there are lizard folk and the earth spits acid, etc. Typical dangerous turf. We get there and let the information gatherers in our party find some info, then are introduced to a lizard-folk who says he will take us to some runes if we clear the way of any threats first. Sounds fun, doesn't it? Yeah, that's about as far as we got. On a whole, my character did only one thing, know the history of the Ilithid race, yay for natural 20's (It was natural 20 night for all except one party member). So, a bit slow, but gearing up for the next session, which should prove to be very exciting.

Exalted:
No exalted this week, Easter and such, just Naruto enjoyment.

Friday, April 07, 2006

Oh boy, the busy week is finally coming to an end, with a bit of a bang so it seems. Two tests down, one to go, then two hours of standing in front of my research poster in the CNR in not the most comfortable shoes. My tests went alright, I believe I got a B on my herpetology lab exam, it went better than I thought it was going to. My quant exam wasn't quite so easy, but after some extra credit, I should be at a B for the test grade, yay! Now I just hope my herpetology lecture exam goes well today and no one asks me any really wierd questions about my research. Enough with real life, here's a synopsis of the Star Treck game Wednesday:

Our captain finally wakes up and it quickly removed from my science deck. I'm just hanging out on the bridge for once and in teleports this guy. Another human, whoopie (sarcastic). After working with him for a while, it seems he's not quite what I thought. He takes everything you say very literally and has amazing powers over technology. If he weren't human, I'd almost think he was borg. Anyways, I head back up to science deck and suddenly, without warning, everyone gets teleported to the surface of the planet we were orbiting. That was painful, my symbiot is not very good with the teleporting. So, curled up in a ball on the ground and bleeding internally, I curse whoever teleported myself without warning. Thankfully, a crew member, sorry I can't remember his character name, helps me get back to the ship and healed up. While I'm healing, our captain is suddenly teleported into med bay looking about as bad as I was. Kinda made me curious about what they were doing down there, but most of the crew is insane, so I guess it's not uncommon for stuff like this to happen. I take a nap, then get to expalain to our newest crew member why teleporting me is not a good idea. After checking on the mice and re-sorting them into new cages (55 babies, yay!) I head to the holodeck and watch the 1993 World Series of Baseball for a while. We eventually reach a spacestation that we had stopped at on our way out because someone wanted to buy a parrot. I stayed, claimed holodeck 2 as my own, and learned how to play soccer. That was it for that session, more craziness to come in about 2 weeks.

Tuesday, April 04, 2006

Yay for Exalted, sadness for Isaac being ill and not present.
So, the preist, diplomat and I head south to seek out the demon source while our fighter takes most of our troops westishnorthish to fight stuff. We were going to take horses, but then I was reminded of the airship, which is much faster, so we took the horses on the airship. A good compromise. Lots of smoke when we get close, and people rioting in the city. Leaping from roof to roof, as usual, I watch the priest take out two demons and follow him to the downtown area. There are a bunch of demons around this one building, so we devise a plan to distract them so I can get in and investigate. The diplomat starts setting buildings on fire and some demons run off after him. The priest uses his hearthstone to mock one of the demons, kill him and draw some more over. He then hits thirty demons with this awesome archery charm and I can sneak into the building. I find two guards and quickly senak attack and dispose of one. The second proves to be a bit more difficult and gets in some good hits, but I eventually kill him and see that they were guarding a door, probably the office of a big demon. I retreat a bit away to rest and recover and hope the others are doing well.

Spring break is over, back to the busy life.
While on spring break, I did acomplish a few goals:
1)Find out the new Naruto game for gamecube is a hit and hard to find
2)Instead, buy a different game and beat it, yay!
3)Get to chapter 3 on Hordes of the Underdark
4)Buy a new, better dance pad
5)Meet my sister's boyfriend, which actually didn't involve any conversation between the two of us, but oh well
6)Play with my 3 kitties
7)Get money from parents in the form of cash, clothes, help with taxes and tuition money
8)Got my taxes done, they were pretty bad this year, I didn't think I'd be filling out more than 3 forms for my federal taxes until I had my own place, but I guessed wrong
9)Ate good food
10)Finally got a new dice bag, and a new D&D book to go with it, mwahahaha. Fear me, for I now have shadow magic. Yay!

Thursday, March 16, 2006

Ah, one more day until spring break...anyways...
Startrek
I did stuff in this one, yes, important stuff too. In my pirate costume. So, we all got over our drunken stupidity of last game and actually went pirate hunting. Finding some, the group finds out my character has the best tactics, yay 2! Yes, it's that sad. So, the science officer, who spends most of her time studying the newly discovered deadly reproduction of purple mouse-like creatures, gets to command the ship in battle. Woo-hoo, ..., so, what do I do now? After figuring out the manuvers and with a little help from the DM, I sucessfully command our ship to fight and blow the opposition to tiny pieces, mwahahahaha. Sorry, got power happy there for a moment. Battle, sucessful, back to my research. We get Chuck's character locked in a room once he starts going nuts about not being able to make the "poofs", whatever those are. Pooky's hug of almost death, and a new airflow system for my mice later and we think there's another pirate ship that we missed, dang.
Overall, it was a fun session. I love rapid breeding purple mice :)

Monday, March 13, 2006

Yawn, it's a monday...
Good news, things are moving fast again with my monitor project. Look for two new argus monitors in the back room of the vivarium after spring break and many scratches and bites on my hands and arms. That's what I get for picking lizards that grow to 4' for my behavior study, where'd I put those welding gloves...
Anyways, I'm finally getting them and they should be in the vivarium near the end of may. I have lots of plans for these guys. Also, look for my poster in the CNR around April 7th for the Symposium, cause I'll be presenting a bit about this project.

Thursday, March 09, 2006

Time for news on the Eberron game:
After fighting some nasty creatures, we find more treasure, yay! And I get hit on the foot by a big rock, not nice, thankfully I was healed right away. That darn rock on my foot took out two-thirds of my hitpoints... Anyways, after identifying our treasure and my new scroll of invisibility, we head out of the dungeon into the study of the guildmaster, who was stabbed not too long ago. While the others searched and found some of the artifacts we were supposed to be recovering, I find a glyph portal and a book on giants. The glyph portal takes us to a large room with lava, where two people are conversing. Aparently, the artifacts are being used in correlation to the construction of many constructs in a different city and things aren't happening quick enough. One person is an artificer, wands and staves everywhere *drool*, but he's one of those, um, squid people, can't remember what they're called. My character's new goal, find him, kill him, get his stuff. They dissapear, but not before summoning some kind of elemental swarm of tiny elementals. Much fun ensues as I find out my magic missile doesn't affect them and my only other offensive spell is fire based. Many of the party members get set on fire, point and laugh, and just as I am about to save the day with a vial of frost spell, the swarm dies. *sigh* oh well... So, we head back to the university to deposit the artifacts we have managed to recover and rest, thankfully. I really needed to bathe after stumbling through dead bodies in a dungeon. We also get to level up, happiness for me and the warforged, since I promised to take the make moderate repairs spell. He is now my, not so much meat, but iron and wood shield, yay! More spells, better knowledge and spellcrafting and another point in Int. It was a good session.

Monday, March 06, 2006

Alright, this is gonna be a long one, so get comfortable and ready for some RPG action.

First of all, the Exalted game on Friday, it was awesome. I like it when we can get a lot of hours in at one time, I just get into character better. So, here's what happened:
Daytime comes after the night of demon attacks, I much better prefer the dark, so I go to sleep in my garden. After a few nice hours of sleep, I get woken up by Kitten. He says the wierd preist is talking stupid to him and wondering where I am. I sneak down from my tree and try to startle the priest, but no such luck, see why I don't like the daytime?
Anyways, he has a plan to attract the demons by gathering all the ambassadors and rich folk in our city together in one place. Taken aback, yet intreagued, I agree to help, then seek out the Dawn caste, making sure he knows of this plan. We tweak it slightly once I learn that the deamons are most likely going after the sidereals soon. Bah, the sidereals can handle themselves, if they can't I'll laugh. So, at dinner, I see the other female in the party has returned and she bought us clothes. Fancy clothes, that I usually don't like, but how can I resist a green and gold kimono? So, we assign tasks to prepare for the bait trap, I mean, "party". I volunteer to decorate with some of my spies and surpries the others with my leet decorating skills. Sorry, had to say it. I so wanted color changing streamers, but my disguise charms only work on myself. Kitten was in heaven getting tangled in streamers and I made my hair gold for the occasion. As soon as people began arriving, I left to guard the sidereal wing of the palace. I don't do well with many people. Of course, this is when the demons start to attack. All by myself, fighting a cloud demon with several armed arms (hee hee, meaning each arm had a weapon), a funky wasp, and this deer-like thing made of tentacles. I killed the cloud thing pretty quick, but the deer was giving me a hard time. He hit me pretty good and caused me to limit break, which really didn't do much until the Dawn caste burst in and splattered him, spraying me with gooey nastyness. I thanked him heartily, meaning in my limit break state I screamed at him for not showing up, threw up from the disgusting stuff all over me, tried to hit him, failed, then stormed off down the hall. If he's gonna be all show-offish, he can just kill the rest of the demons himself.
So, after fuming for a while and trying my best to ignore the fighting nearby, I finally peek out a hole in the wall to see the Dawn caste challenging this very evil looking person. He stops, though, a first for him, guess the demon has some mind control or something, so I pull out my big throwing stars and hurl them at him (the demon). They tink off him like nothing and he dissapears into the party building. Now furious, I pick up my shuriken and go to sleep in my tree, still covered in blood and goo. Thankfully with my healing orchid growing on my arm, I heal fairly quickly. I sleep a lot, not really caring what the others do because I see them as non-persons while I'm in a limit break. About a day and a half later, I am abruptly awoken as the dawn caste pokes me, causing me to reappear and fall out of my tree perch. He grabs my shirt and pulls me back up, thankfully. After some scolding and making him get off my tree, I ask what he wants. He plans on heading south soon to go fight the demons closer to the source. I agree to come along, once I get cleaned up. Later that evening, I see the priest standing infront of the palace, so I begin to pace. After a few hours of this and playing with the guards, I go in to find him. It seems our diplomat has gone off on one of her "escapades" again, so it might be a little while before we can leave. (I take a quick fieldtrip here, but it's not important). This is where we ended, waiting to leave for the south and more demons.

That was definately a fun session, I can't wait until our next one. Now, here's the events of the LARP on Sunday. This one will be shorter, I promise.

The caern was filled with many new and strange Garou. I met some very nice people, and some I would really prefer to stay away from. I played apples to apples with the other cubs, our den mother and some of her packmates. We were helping her lupis packmate to learn more english. It was fun, but after a few hours, many people left. Our den mother left with Leaves of Ashes and eventually her whole pack dissapeared. Not sure of what to do, we stayed put until a sept member told us to join him for briefing for a war party. We followed and and were assigned into groups for the attack. I was put into a group with two other cubs, a homid ahroun like myself and a homid ragabash. We were led by Hawk, the sept alpha, and joined by Peng Lor, the beta den-parent/beta wyrm foe, and one other garou I did not recognize. I was handed a grenade launcher by Hawk, but did not feel comfortable carrying it into battle, so I exchanged it for a combat shotgun. I was later informed by my den mother that I should have just used my fetish gun, but I thought I would be more useful with a larger gun since I cannot yet activate the fetish on my gun. Anyways, we drove in this large Hummer to these three houses we were supposed to cleanse. We fought three creatures, one in each house. Hawk said they were wyrm tainted. I dealt the killing blow to the first one, am unsure how the second died, and myself and the other ahroun cub took out the third creature on our own as the others told us to. The fight was quite exhilirating and I only took one hit, which was absorbed by the armor talon I recieved before battle.
Upon returning to the caern, our den mother was very worried about us and we told her our story. I was supposed to undergo a mission for my rite of passage, but it was interrupted by our battle. A trial was then held in the caern. Peng Lor seemed to be the focus of at least the first part of the trial. Many of the events discussed had occured before I came to the caern, so I did not know much about them, but they seemed pretty serious. (Out of character- I had to miss a good part of the trial to leave for work, but would really like to know what happened)

Well, that's finally it. Phew, what a busy weekend, and that was just the RPG parts of it. Thankfully this will be an easy week for me so I'll get to relax a bit. Yay for long RPG updates!

Ah! What a crazy game yesterday! Well, what do you expect when Chuck joins your game I guess. Anyways, so we found this planet where the people had just dissapeared, so we believed there were pirates nearby. We found pirates, and after a quick talk, my owner (yes, my character is actually owned by another person) persuaded them to work with us. It was about then that Chuck's character started making havoc. He almost killed by big spider, got most of the crew drunk, angered our captain, etc. I locked myself on the holodeck for a while, very relaxing. It pretty much ended with us all on science deck, trying to figure out how Chuck's character changes species, ignoring the unconscious captian, wearing pirate suits, teaching pooky the stuffed bear to speak and really going nowhere. Anyways, interesting game.
Exalted's tomorrow, yay! Along with two tests, boo, but it'll be nice to get them overwith. Also, I'm going on a mission in larp Sunday for my rite of passage, or the first half at least, yay for becoming a cliath. Then the's the whole Dragonball Z garou idea I might go with, more info on that if it happens. That's it for now, crazy post done, crew out.

I've been reminiscing a lot lately about my marching band days, probably since I found out my sister will not be joining marching band this summer like we planned. Sigh.
Anyways, if I start going off on band camp stories, feel free to hit me or something.
I really should dig out the old vidoes, but then I'd have to bring up my VCR, we shall see.
This is gonna be one heck of a week. I have a herpetology lab test tomorrow, two tests Friday, Exalted on Friday (yay!) a trip to Madison with the herp society on Saturday and LARP on Sunday. Oof, quite busyness. Thankfully next week I have no tests so I can relax a bit before midterm time.
That's about it for today, back to watching band videos and writing fanfic, oh, and maybe some studying too...

Ok, well, blog looking slightly better, can't figure out why some pieces of the code aren't working, but oh well.
Went home this weekend and had fun. Shopping with my sister was more fun than expected since she didn't make me go into any crazy clothes stores. I got Wolf's Rain Vol. 1 and a Naruto t-shirt, which they are sellng at hot topic now, yay! Look how quickly Naruto has been adopted into the US.
Got to see my aunt Judee and Uncle Mike, also my cousin Brian; he's probably my favorite cousin, even though he's quite a bit older than me. We had pizza and a movie for my sister's birthday.
That's about it for this weekend. This Wednesday is Star Trek game day, where my character gets to try breeding little purple mice and beg for more research money.

My blog looks kinda wierd now, that's what I get for messing with the template code and not having a programming class in three years. It will hopefully be fixed soon.
I just joined the list for the Garou LARP and man, what in the world did I stumble into? The arguments, while entertaining, I feel are having a poor effect on the LARP itself, hopefully they will be resolved soon and I can get my right of passage done so I'm no longer a cub.
Eberron yesterday was fun, though it's one of those maps as a low level spellcaster that you feel like you can't do anything but die. Which is pretty much what I spent most of the session doing. Oh well, I'll just let everyone else kill everything, then share in the XP, yay! Well, at least I did a few magic missiles and a light spell, what can I say, I have mostly divination spells, gearing up for a prestiege class. So anyways, more crawling through tunnels, nasty dead bodies, plant people that shoot you with branches, things that like to eat your face, a typical romp. The best part was my use of the dimension leap spell, yay! Also making fun of the warforged was fun, we have a darn good deal set up where I will take the spell repair warforged and he will be my shield. So he can kill things and I'll heal him and cast spells, fun. Shields are good when you have an armor class of 14 and 12 HP.
Oh, for future reference, character info:
Eberron character:
Paela
Elf Wizard(3)
Female, True Neutral
Specialized in the school of divination.
Familiar: Spitz, tiny viper, likes chicken.
She's an independant, somewhat skeptical wizard, usually seen hiding behind another party member during battles.

Heeheehee...
I'm just bored this evening, procrastinating with studying for my herpetology test tomorrow by reading fanfics, and working on my own. I've started playing NWN again, the first expansion set, continuing with an 8th level druid cause I can't find her at higher levels, though I could swear I had more level at the end of the first game. Anyways, playing a druid is awesome, most of the time. Against many weak foes or one strong one, it's great. A minimum four member party is wonderful, especially when two are dire animals. But, against three to six strong enemies, it sucks. Not enough people to keep all the enemies busy so you can cast call lightning repeatedly, and you die. Oh well, I'm doing good so far, finding time to play is the hardest, especially with tests this week. At least tomorrow's Wednesday, which means game club, yay!

Well, let's see now, it has been a long time, hasn't it. I really should post here every so often. I think I may steal Mike B.'s idea about posting rpg happenings, hope you don't mind Mike. With that I'd like to start with the latest session of Exalted, from my character's point of view. But first, a breif intro to my character.

Miri
Night Caste
Explorer/Ninja (AKA I can't sit still very long)
Master Spy in Cealestis(spelling?)
Originally from Chantra
Likes to use martial arts moves, turns invisible when upset, can change color of hair when in various moods, has a treepard named Kitten(not real name though)(Kitten loves butterflies), likes to take fruit (so it doesn't go to waste :) )

Ok, onto the game:
So, we're escorting this beat up army of dragonblooded, who I really don't trust, back to our capitol city and along the way learn that the blessed Isle is coated with demons. From what I've heard from our sorcerer, they're scary things, not very big(most of them) but scary, and they either fight you or seduce you and suck out your soul. Fun.
Anyways, we get back to the city, talk to the sidereals, I get into trouble for not paying attention, and work a bit with my spies. Found out one of my spies is stuck in a city with troubles and probably can't get out or is dead, but he's not one of my top ten (00 spies) so I'm not terribly worried, it seems we have bigger things here to worry about. The dawn caste build me and Kitten a rooftop garden, yay! (My character loves trees and has about 4 plants growing on her at the moment.) It's then that Kitten notices there aren't as many butterflies as before. Something is definately wrong. I go talk to the dawn caste and he says he's missing a person from training, so we go check it out. The place is abandoned, like creepy abandoned. Oh yeah, we find our zenith caste too, he worries me. So, we go through the place and I take the fruit, it was just sitting out and going to waste, I swear. And the Zenith caste says the place is tainted by demons and torches the place. Now we explain this t o the townspeople how? It eventually gets worked out, wish our diplomat were there, and we send out larger patrols that night.
While wandering the city, I spot creatures on the library of our sorcerer and they dissapear. I believe they got inside, so I stealthily sneak up to the second level and am going to surprise the guards, it's what they get for not noticing those creatures right above them, but no, stupid someone put traps freaking everywhere and I step on one. Not cool, by this time, Kitten is laughing at me and I'm surrounded by guards, good job me, real stealthy. I'm still determined to get in there, but the Dawn caste eventually talks me out of it.
Fuming off down the road later, hair now a dark red color, I see a door to an embassy building swinging loosely on its hinges. Kitten does not like it here, but I am ever curious. I approach the door and peek my head in, but see no one. Not wanting to go in there alone, I run and get the dawn caste and we search the place, eventually finding the ambassador safe, locked in his room with a few guards. But the other guards, servents and the spy I had posted here are all gone without a trace.
I am truely interested in the happenings south of us, but cannot leave while havoc is being caused here, so until next time, that's where the game stands.

I will try to update later in the week after the Eberron game Wednesday.
